Joan Xie is a recent graduate of Georgetown University, having majored in International Economics. She spent two summers working for J.P. Morgan in their investment bank, and is planning on joining Bain & Co in the fall. She enjoys learning about businesses from a wide variety of perspectives, and is looking forward to continue that learning process in the start-up tech space with ff venture capital!
In her free time, Joan enjoys yoga, art-museuming, free jazz concerts, and the guiltiest sorts of reality TV.
Emil Lee is a second-year MBA student at NYU Stern. Prior to that, he worked at Telegraph Hill Partners, a private equity / venture capital firm based in San Francisco. Emil has a deep admiration for the entrepreneurs of Silicon Alley. He is also one of a handful of diehard Clippers fans, and hopes to start a blog called Ramen Fight Club (but he can’t talk about it).
