Premium domain names like Patents.com have becoming increasingly valuable due to limited supply. Comparable domain name sales include insure.com ($16m), diamond.com ($7.5m), toys.com ($5.1m), fund.com ($10m). Users searched on Google for “patent” 6.1m times per month; this is the premier domain name for the most valuable category of intellectual property.

The Patents.com business includes search functions for patents, patent attorneys and other patent service providers, patent filing services and other patent-related resources. The Firm plans to move the business to patents.net upon completion of the sale.
