Contently and Parse.ly selected for 2013 NYC Venture Fellows

Contently and Parse.ly selected for 2013 NYC Venture Fellows

Two ff Portfolio company founders, Sachin Kamdar, CEO of Parse.ly, and Shane Snow, CCO of Contently, have been selected for the 3rd class of NYC Venture Fellows, joining fellows from 28 other startups including Codeacademy, SideTour and Pencils of Promise.

The highly-selective NYC Venture Fellows program is a collaboration between NYCEDC and Fordham University and is designed to launch emerging entrepreneurs from around the world. This year’s fellows were selected from six different countries and represent a diverse array of industries from biotech to fashion to education. The program was started in 2011 and identifies 20-30 high potential entrepreneurs a year from hundreds of applicants. Once selected, the fellows are provided mentoring opportunities from noted NYC industry leaders along with exclusive networking opportunities, meetings with leading New York City companies and workshops.

With a relatively short history of three classes of fellows, the NYC Venture Fellows program has successfully identified and nurtured some of the fastest growing startups in New York City. Its list of illustrious alumni include Rent the Runway, Etsy and foursquare.

The 3rd class of fellows will begin their year-long program on February 25th 2013 and we would like to extend our heartiest congrats to Sachin and Shane!

We hope other portfolio CEOs will apply for next year.
