Get to know: ffVC Summer '13 Interns

Rikki Novetsky is a rising junior in Barnard College. She is studying English literature, and spends a large amount of her time working as editor in chief of The Eye, the weekly arts and culture magazine of The Columbia Daily Spectator. She is currently working closely with Aishwarya Iyer, Director of Communications, who assists both ffVC and its portfolio companies in marketing and public relations. Rikki enjoys reading novels, drinking coffee, and ff’s standing desks. While patiently awaiting Plated’s vegetarian menu, the ffVC portfolio company she is most excited about is Klout, on which she is working to raise her score above a 62.02.

Emanuel Schorsch is a rising junior majoring in computer science and mathematics. He competes in the 800m race for Swarthmore College. He loves soccer, basketball, tennis and generally all sports, curling excluded. In his free time he enjoys reading about behavioral economics, sleeping, and coding. He is particularly interested in data mining and collaborative recommender systems. His favorite portfolio company is Parse.ly

Seamus Crowley  will soon be entering his third year of law school. He is a native of Huntington Beach, California and experienced his first time in New York City on the first day of his internship at ffVC. He got the bug for the startup and venture capital industries in college while studying finance in Silicon Valley at Santa Clara University. During his internship at ffVC he is looking forward to learning about building startups, researching investments in startups, and understanding the legal foundation that supports these activities. His interests include going to the beach (in Southern California, the Hudson River isn’t cutting it), traveling, and having a jovial time with friends.
